Plant disease alert

  • Butterfly

Main applications

  • Agriculture (agrometerology for the prevention of plant diseases)
  • Calculation of potential evapotranspiration (FAO-WMO Penman Monteith method) for the assessment of water stress in plants
  • Calculation of dew or frost point to measure possible frost on crops
  • Evaluation of the meteo-climatic conditions for the prediction of the main plant diseases (downy mildew, powdery mildew, scab, etc ...)
  • Studies of the various phenological phases of crops
  • Optimization of phytosanitary treatments for an eco-sustainable use

Description

MAIN FEATURES

Based on the application needs, the station can be configured with two control units:

1) MicroMET3 datalogger which allows to obtain an agrometeorological monitoring station to which up to 18 weather sensors can be connected.

2) Butterfly measuring device that allows the monitoring and alarm of the meteo-climatic parameters that can generate the development of a phenological phase or cause stress to the plant

In both cases the control units are low-consumption (therefore powered by a photovoltaic panel), they can transmit data remotely via GPRS and are extremely easy to assemble. In this way, no connections are necessary, installation costs are very low and the positioning of the measuring system is quite easy.

ADVANTAGES

  • Meteorological sensors in compliance to WMO and Accredia certificable
  • Very high accuracy and resolution of measuring
  • Very low power consumption
  • Compact and low environmental impact
  • Easy to install (it doesn’t require civil works)
  • No telephonic or electrical connection is required
  • Longtime reliability and minimum maintenance
  • More than 70 types of sensor connectable
  • Versatility of data communication without frequency concessions
  • Italian design and technology
  • Extreme working conditions (salinity, ice, sand, corrosive agents, high thermic excursion, etc…)
  • Data format: Ascii Text standard with every field separated by comma (CSV format), compatible with Excel and all databases and software available in the market.
